Prepare Students
If you’re looking to develop an English Salon for your high school curriculum to help improve your high school students’ integrated skills, you’ve come to the right place.
English Salons offer various lessons aimed at helping students develop reading, writing, and communication abilities through integrated skill development.
By focusing on the critical areas for knowledge of language, teachers provide a well-rounded language learning lesson that can prepare students for success both in and out of the classroom.

Integrated Skill Development
In an English Salon, students are exposed to various styles and methods of teaching, allowing them to learn from multiple perspectives and develop proficient language functions.
Whether participating in a lesson for creative writing, English language arts, social studies, world literature, literary analysis, physical education, or writing out parts of speech, there are many different ways for students to develop their skills through real-life situations.
Knowledge of Language
An English Salon’s holistic approach to learning pushes students to develop their knowledge of language, confidence, and self-esteem.
Developing these characteristics in different contexts during high school makes it easier for students to succeed in the future when tackling English-speaking environments.

Lesson Plans
English Salon lessons must feature highly qualified English language teachers.
Collaboratively working together, teachers offer a variety of teaching and learning formats, including online, in-person, and blended learning models ensuring students are delivered opportunities to practice integrated skill development with their English lessons.
This method allows students to build comprehension, use context, and develop command of the conventions of standard English grammar through speaking and listening to English through discussion, interactive games, and exercises.
Developing student confidence in using English to interact and learning new ways to express their point of view are two specific purposes of an English Salon.
Other purposes are to help students to develop their understanding of figurative language and improve pronunciation, increase the meaning of words, and vocabulary knowledge with real-world examples.

Collaborative Teaching Strategy
Using an English Salon, English teachers improve their teaching skills and learn from each other.
Teachers share and discuss lesson plans, evaluate informational texts and activities, and brainstorm ways to improve their skills. This technical education is a unique opportunity that gives teachers the tools they need to help their students develop.
In addition, teachers meet informally for coffee and conversation or schedule private lessons to develop relationships and develop professionally.
The English classroom can often be a stressful place to be for students who are speakers of other languages.
Many students feel pressured to speak English in a situation with their peers where they’re not necessarily proficient.
Teachers who use an English Salon as part of their curriculum plan for the entire year help students focus on learning from real-world and relatable content in a welcoming and social environment up to the end of the school year.
This focus helps students to engage and practice English reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
